Essential Info
Requiring a personal access code to gain entry into a building adds security, but if a code is made public, anyone can get in. But if you have a M1 or M1 Gold security and automation panel in place to protect your business, your employees can simply attach a keyfob to their key ring and gain entry only after scanning it with the M1 Mini Prox Reader (sold separately).

The M1 Mini Prox Reader plugs into the M1 LCD Keypad and provides virtually the same capabilities as a user code. Typical uses for this reader include arming and disarming the system, such as when employees enter in the morning or leave the building for the day, or to trip the output to de-energize a lock, to admit people to the building.
The M1 Fobs come in a package of 10. Proximity cards work the same way and are also available in packages of 10.
